Today is Towel Day (we miss you, Douglas Adams!) and the 35th anniversary of the release of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, so I marked the day by seeing The Avengers for the third time with my daughter. (I mean, of course. What else would one do?). I think that's the last time or there might be an intervention.
A friend shared this cartoon on Facebook, and I love it. I have to say, that IS what would happen should Captain Mal meet Captain Hammer. (Just in case you're not familiar with Firefly or Dr. Horrible, I'll let you in on the joke: Nathan Fillion played both characters).
I'm pretty strict about my rule on not putting pics of LilGirl on the Internet, but last night, hubby got by with tweeting this one because she's wearing a mask. It got retweeted by the official Star Wars Twitter account, which was pretty cool. So here's her 15 seconds (if that) of (fairly anonymous) fame:
Back in June, I posted AT-AT Day Afternoon. Patrick Boivin has now posted a making-of video. It's pretty cool, even though my first thought was "Gasp! He took it apart?!?"
The video's creator, Patrick Boivin, says "When I was a kid, there are two things I wanted badly and never got... A real dog and a Kenner AT-AT Walker."
